Management Review Meeting (MKSP) at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) is a meeting that is held periodicaly (twice a year) to evaluate the management and operations of the university with the aim of improving effectiveness, efficiency, and service quality. MKSP is a platform to identify issues that require resolution and to make decisions that have a positive impact on the development and progress of UMK. The membership of MKSP involves all head departments of university to provide feedback and suggestions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of management and to meet the needs of customers and stakeholders of the university.
Previously, MKSP was known as “Majlis Kualiti Universiti” (MKU). However, MKU was changed to MKSP because it is more synonymous among other public universities and stakeholders such as SIRIM. MKSP is one of the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, which is an international standard for quality management. Clause 9.3 in ISO 9001:2015 outlines that organizations need to periodically assess the effectiveness of their quality management system and the MKSP is one of the methods that organizations can use to meet this requirement.
